Fantasy Premier League

What is Fantasy Premier League?

Fantasy Premier League (FPL) is an online fantasy football league that offers you the chance to manage your own team. Based on the English Premier League, one of the most competitive football leagues in the world, you can create dream teams using actual players and real-world results.

Chaps & Co Hot Tips for Success

Winning an FPL is a challenge and requires a mix of strategy, research and good old-fashioned luck. Whilst there’s no guaranteed method for a win, using the following tips will give you a fighting chance.

Research your players – keeping up to date with player news is the most crucial element. Individual injuries, form, fixtures and performance will all attribute to how well your team performs.

Manage your budget – don’t just splash out on the top players. You need to distribute your budget across all positions. Picking out the budget-friendly players who bring home the goods will certainly do you no harm.

Monitor the difficulty of fixtures – when teams face more difficult matches, their players may not perform as well. Benching a player who has a tough match coming up means putting out a stronger starting lineup.

Choose captains and vice captains wisely – your captains and vice captains are worth double points. For this reason, having reliable players in both positions means safety if your captain doesn’t play.

Remain active – keeping on top of your game is the best way to yield the right results. If you’re caught sleeping, you could miss crucial transfers or changes in a player’s status.

Utilise your chips – FPL offers chips such as Bench Boost, Free Hit, Wildcard or Triple Captain. Considering these as part of your strategy can definitely help you stay up top.

Patience is a virtue – the FPL is a season long. If you get off to a slow start, fear not, there are plenty of weeks left. Likewise, if you’re off to a flying start, don’t sit back on your laurels, it only takes a moment for the rug to be pulled from under your feet.

Hot Picks for 2023/24

Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo had a storming finish to last season. At £6.5m he could be set to work out as a superb midfield investment. Another shout for the centre, is Phil Foden, coming in at £7.5m.

Raheem Sterling sits pretty at £7m. With 115 goals and 98 fantasy assists to his name, he’s a safe bet at a sterling price. Dominic Calvert-Lewin also has plenty of potential. The Everton front man just needs to remain injury free for his £6m price tag to become a bargain.

At the back, we’re liking the look of another Everton man, James Tarkowski. In the £4.5m bracket, he could certainly cause a racket. Brighton’s Pervis Estupinan is currently the most owned defender in the FPL, and at £5m, it’s unsurprising bringing a solid attacking threat weekly.

If you miss the start of the season, fear not. There’s still plenty to play for. Just hit the link, sign up and join in.

Remember it’s all about the fun. We’ll see you in the dugout. #KeepItHandsome
