My name is Habib, I am from Uzbekistan and have been in the barber industry for 7 years, I was originally inspired as I have a passion for style and fashion, this goes back to when I was younger, I always had various hairstyles and tried to keep up with the latest trends. My sister was a hairdresser and I looked up to her, she became my mentor and ensured that I had the right tools for the Job.

I completed college at 18 years old and began my barbering career immediately, prior to this I had a huge passion for football and wrestling. I was only 3 years old when I started wrestling, once again it was my sister who pushed me into the sport. At a young age my father’s consent was needed before I was allowed to compete, I knew he would never say yes, so my sister forged his signature so I could enter competitions.

One of the highlights of my barber career is attending a barber conference in Moscow, it was a huge show where they offered master classes from some of the most successful barbers in the world. Self-progression has always been a huge thing for me, in sport and in my career so any educational seminar that presents itself, I always sign myself up. I remember once catching a bus to Kazakhstan for 15 hours to watch a famous barbers masterclass, it was a rough journey but worth it for the knowledge that I gained.

Being a member of the Chaps and Co team means a lot to me as I have also been inspired by British brands, I believe they set the standards for the industry and love the traditional way of cutting.
