It’s that time of year again where we wish Ramadan Kareem to all our Muslim friends, family, colleagues and clients during the holy month. For both Ramadan and Eid at Chaps & Co, we respectfully make a few subtle changes to our day to day business.

For those that aren’t aware, Ramadan is celebrated by followers of Islam with fasting, prayers and time spent within the community. Ramadan promotes faith, introspection and mindfulness. At the beginning of each day, a meal is eaten before sunrise, Suhoor. From there until the evening meal, Iftar, no food or drink shall pass the lips of the fasters.

Abstaining from food and drink, amongst other regular daily practices, means more time to think. Consideration is given to your place in the world, to your relationship with Allah and faith and to your communities and circles.

Throughout the holy month, many practitioners work on reduced hours to help with the reduced levels of energy. In the evening, after Iftar and evening prayers, large meals are consumed around tables of family, friends and neighbours.

Ramadan and Eid at Chaps & Co

At Chaps & Co

At Chaps & Co, we are always respectful of the needs of our staff observing Ramadan. It is a joyous time for everybody living and working in the Middle East, but we also recognise the challenge, especially as the heat rises. Out of respect to our guests and team, the regular offers of beverages and coffee are postponed at all branches until Iftar.

As the month draws to a close and Eid rolls around, celebrations begin all over the Middle East and we enter our busiest period. As always, we’ll be offering some extended hours to ensure convenience during the busy period at most branches. Keep an eye on our social media @chapsandcobarbershop to learn more, closer to the time.

Our hours remain unchanged but expect to see the fasting members of our team for a couple of hours less per day. With some hours reduced, it’s advisable to book in advance, which you can through this link.

Once again, we’d like to wish you all health, wealth and the best for Ramadan.
