Stranger Things 4 has been one of the most highly anticipated shows of the year. Now we’re all done, we need to discuss the elephant in the room. The haircuts!

Now, we appreciate that not everyone is up to date, so first up, we promise no spoilers. The only thing you’ll find here is fringe cringe, and a lot of it. It seems that to keep the now adolescent bunch in line with their individual character, the men and women behind the production decided the haircuts stayed.

I’m not sure how it went for our readership, but in that all important ‘coming of age’, we shed our childhood mullets and bowl cuts. Opting for a more adult haircut, we were prepared for the likes of weekend jobs and attracting the potential suiters. I guess when you’re wrapped up in the supernatural, your haircut is perhaps not as important.

Anyway, let’s have a look at some of these supernatural disasters!

Eleven

Ok, we admit it. Not everyone carried the same haircut from the earlier series. Eleven, grew hers out, but kept the ill-kempt fringe to maximise the cringe. It seems the best way to culturally appropriate the 90s is to add a terrible fringe to whatever else you have going on upstairs.

**Investment opportunity** – Fake fringes will sell really well for Halloween this year.

Lucas Sinclair

Arguably one of the more passable chops to be found, Lucas looks like one half of the late 80s, early 90s hip hop duo Kid ‘n’ Play. His high-top-fade could pass you in the street and not draw too much attention.

Mike “Bittersweet” Wheeler

First up, is The Verve frontman, Richard Ashcroft. Oh, sorry, no it’s Mike, played by actor Finn Wolfhard. He’s dragged the shaggy look back out of the woods, except had a blunt job done on the fringe. Presumably so he can see just how ridiculous he looks in the mirror. A solid 3/10.

Will “Bowl Cut” Byers

Here we have it, the creative haircut crescendo. Will and his bowl cut. We pray that Will’s mum eventually gets a day off from trimming his hair and sends him to a proper barber. The poor lad has looked like a half bitten peanut M&M since the start of the show, and there are no signs that it is ever going to change.

We hope you’re enjoying the series as much as we have, and if you do sport any of the looks from the show, you can book in to have that corrected through this link.
